Telestar Encoder Series 58 Encoder

The 58 series encoders are characterized by their compact design; they are
optical and magnetic sensing. They are available in various mechanical versions:
protruding shaft, hollow shaft, through shaft up to 15 mm.
Standard resolution: 8192 x 4096 for multi-turn models and 8192 x 1 for single-
turn models . High resolution models available, up to 18 bits per revolution and up to 256,000 rpm.
The multiturn versions do not use batteries or other systems for counting the number
of revolutions but a series of further disks mechanically related to each other.
Available interfaces: parallel, analog, SSI, Profibus, CANopen, Device Net, versions
Ethernet based such as Profinet, Ethernet IP, PowerLink, EtherCAT®, Sercos III, Drive-Cliq
and IO-Link.
Ethernet BUS encoders are connected via M12 connectors which can
be supplied with axial and lateral connectors.
Redundant magnetic sensing multiturn encoders with
dual SSI interface are also available . Useful for connecting the encoder to two separate systems, where
a backup system is needed. Although not a certified product, but thanks to
its MTBF value for each individual channel, it can also be used for
safety applications
