Backlash-free, torsionally rigid, misalignment compensating, free of maintenance and wear: Our excellent Steel Disc Couplings of the RINGFEDER® TND series – originating from the TSCHAN Posimin and GERWAH series – are made of 100 % steel, meet maximum functional and durability requirements and prove themselves worldwide in the most diverse fields of application. From paper, printing and packaging machines, through the steel, plastics, chemical and cement industries to passenger transport, food and beverage production, crane and hoist technology, shipbuilding or energy and raw material extraction – their versatility makes them universally and flexibly applicable. The centerpiece of the couplings of the RINGFEDER® TND series are FEM-optimized steel laminae packs made of stainless spring steel, which are alternately connected to the hubs and existing spacers by means of precision sleeves and highly resilient dowel screws. Depending on the user's requirements, the hubs can be attached to the shafts by using keyways or absolutely backlash-free by means of RINGFEDER® Shrink Discs or Locking Assemblies. The high-quality laminae packs allow the reliable transmission of even the highest torques by means of a combination of frictional and positive locking and at the same time ensure the required angular, axial and, if necessary, radial misalignment capability
